St. Julian's & Balluta
Location
Our apartment is situated moments away from Balluta Bay. Balluta Bay is a creek on the East coast of Malta within St. Julian's Bay. It is a popular recreation spot for swimming, diving, and water sports, with a triangular pjazza surrounded by cafés and shaded by Judas trees. Its skyline is dominated by the neo-gothic Carmelite Parish Church and the stunning art nouveau Balluta Buildings.
The lovely promenade winds itself through the various bays and creeks along the front and a large number of bars, restaurants are all within walking distance. Situated at the North end of the promenade is the beautiful Spinola Bay and also Paceville which is the clubbing heart of Malta. At the South end of the promenade is Sliema which is probably the best shopping area of the island.
